For musicians, ensembles and institutions

Your concert, in front of people who understand what you play

Classicspark is the classical music network. Stream your concert live with its own page, its registrations and its replay, without an automated detector getting in the way of your performance.

  • No automated copyright detector
  • 0% commission on your tickets

Why here

What a free channel does not give you

Streaming is easy and free in many places. The hard part is being seen by the people who matter, having nobody mute your performance, and ending up with more than a number.

The right audience, not the biggest one

Your concert appears in the feed and in “Discover” of a classical music community, and you can advertise it by instrument, role, city or country.

No robot mutes your Bach here

Classicspark runs no automated copyright detector over your performance. Claims are handled by named people, like everything else in the community.

You keep the list of who came

Registrations are people with a profile, country and instrument. You can write to them, and they come back to your next concert because they follow you.

A real concert page

Programme, performers linked to their profiles, notes, artwork and the time in each viewer’s zone, on a public page anyone can open without an account.

When it ends, what shows is yours

After your concert, viewers see your profile and your upcoming events. Nobody puts somebody else’s video next to it.

No commission on your box office

Classicspark never touches the money from your tickets or donations. What you charge is yours in full.

What you get

What you get when you broadcast

This is exactly what exists today, and what does not yet. Anything marked “Coming soon” is not available.

What you get when you broadcast on Classicspark

  • A replay for registered viewers for 7 days after the concert.
  • Your event in front of a classical music community, not the whole internet.
  • You know who came: registrations have a name, profile, country and instrument.
  • A real concert page with programme, performers linked to their profiles, and artwork.
  • A public page anyone can open without an account, in six languages.
  • An email reminder to everyone registered before the event.
  • A test broadcast before you go live, with its tutorial.
  • No automatic copyright detection: no robot mutes your Bach here.
  • When it ends, viewers see your profile and your next events, not someone else’s video.
  • We never take a commission on what you charge for tickets or donations.

What to know first

  • Each broadcast lasts at most 2 h 30 min.
  • You bring the audience: there is no mass reach or TV apps here.
  • You need an encoder such as OBS. Broadcasting does not work from the browser.
  • The replay lasts 7 days and then stops being available.

Coming soon

  • Access control: open, registered only, or invited only.
  • Event statistics: viewers, minutes and countries.
  • A free advert to promote each broadcast.
  • Broadcast here and mirror to your YouTube channel at the same time.

Comparison

Classicspark versus streaming for free

We do not compete on reach: YouTube reaches the whole world and every television, and you will not get that here. The difference is who sees you, what happens to your performance, and what you are left with afterwards.

If what you want is the largest possible audience, YouTube wins and there is no argument. That is why the plan is to let you stream here and mirror to your channel at the same time.

How it works

From creating the event to the replay

  1. 1

    Create the event

Add the date, programme, performers and artwork, and choose to broadcast with Classicspark.

  2. 2

    Run the test broadcast

With the address and key we give you, connect your encoder and check it before the day. There is a tutorial.

  3. 3

    Share your page

The event page opens without an account, in six languages. Everyone registered gets a reminder.

  4. 4

    Go live

At the time, you open the live stream and your audience watches it on the concert page itself.

  5. 5

    Leave the replay

The recording stays available to registered viewers for a few days, and you see how many minutes were served.

Price

What broadcasting here costs

Free during the launch

While the launch lasts, broadcasting costs nothing. When charging starts it will be a price per event broadcast, published before anything is charged.

You need an encoder such as OBS: the broadcast does not come from the browser. It is free, and there is a tutorial.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need special equipment?

A camera or an audio interface and a free encoder such as OBS. The broadcast does not come from the browser: we give you the address and the key, and there is a step-by-step tutorial.

Can I charge for tickets?

You can charge on your own, however you agree with your audience. Classicspark does not sell tickets or touch that money, so it takes no percentage either.

Can I also stream to YouTube?

Not yet, and it is in the plan. When it arrives, the live stream will live here with its page and its registrations, and the mirror will go to your channel. An honest warning: that copy will go through Content ID, because it is your channel.

What if my connection drops?

If the signal drops, it reconnects and the stream continues. That is why the test broadcast the day before is worth it: that is when problems appear without an audience watching.

Is the concert recorded?

Yes. The recording stays available to registered viewers for a few days after the concert, and then it stops being visible.

Who can watch the live stream?

You choose when you create the event: open to anyone, registered viewers only, or invited people only.

Your next concert, with an audience that knows what it is hearing

Create the event, test the broadcast and share your page. The rest is already in place.
